I don't get it.... Just as easy to take the headlight cover off and simply bolt it to the header panel. Cost is free other than couple bolts and time is 15 minutues or 30 min if you are really slow and can't find your drill bits.

I really I see this a cost increase. Maybe I just don't understand what you are talking about.

I appreciate your response, however, I submit to you it absolutely is broken. 10 cars at nationals! Yes, it's a small piece of the puzzle, but our cars looking sharp can do nothing but help.

Joe - It's for aesthetics. It does look a lot better than some of the cars out there (mine included). I see it the same as having a pretty dash versus an ugly cracked dash. Optional, adds no hp, no advantage... just cleans up the appearance of the car.

Dan - Could you post up a picture? Or, send me the pics and I'll post it up.

Hey Danl4444, they call them Nationals but if you look at the entry list you see that it is mostly locals. Same as when they were at Miller. Lots of West Coast guys and darn few from the East Coast. It has alot to do with what classes are big in the surrounding regions.

I hope that changes for this year.

The numbers in our region have pretty much stayed constant the last 4-5 years. So has Nor Cal. Not sure about others except Texas which seems to be growing. I would expect to see some Texas cars at Nationals this year.

This is what Dan is talkin' bout!

Cut it, bend it, mount it, paint it, done. Looks good.

The second pic is a poor execution of a simple job. There is no reason to even see the brackets.

We would also end up with lots of cars with unpainted aluminum patches. Everyone would have a plan to paint but few would get it done unless it was in the rules and they could not race until it was done.
