Well here is some progress. Got the Metallic Green switched to GT3 Orange.
And found a local NASCAR roll cage guy to do the interior.
Now just stuck on the wiring.

Have the beginning of a dash. Just need a bit of advice.
Should i weld brackets to the "Knee Bar" to affix the metal dash or can i use self tapping screws into the bar itself? Or should i just tack weld in the dash and make it permanent?
Or any other options you can think of?

do not drill and tap into the cage. Better to either weld to it or put a clamp around it.

+1
Weld tabs to bolt to. I have seen some nice clamp on brackets for gauge panels.

Why the issue of drilling into the cage? We are required to drill 3/16" holes, if my memory serves, for tech inspection. It does not seem to me that drilling two holes for screws would be any worse.

In addition, the knee bar is optional so I would assume that one can do anything to it without tech concerns.

I, for one, don't like making things "permanent" as I have found myself wanting to make changes as I have progressed. There are some great clamps, but they can be $20 - $30 dollars each. As such, roll cage clamps can get expensive. Does anyone have a source for less expensive clamps to share with the group?

Started putting the seat in today. Got a used Sparco Circuit off craigslist a while back.
Whew that's a tight fit. I am a 175lbs and barely squeeze in. Then with the halo i don't know how my fat head is going to crawl out of the car in a hurry. Car is becoming less and less of a street car. My goal was to be able to drive the car to an event then drive it home. Not everyone but just the ones close to home. Anyway I must have short legs cause sliding the seat too far forward i block the window but too far back and i have about 2 inches to little for the clutch.
May stick in a Sparco Pro2000 and see if that better suits my needs...stay tuned...
