TOPIC: Random electrical cut out

Random electrical cut out 13 years, 9 months ago #9508

Problem: Car electrical cutting out on track.

Solutons:
1)Kill switch failing or bad wiring. First thing is to check the kill switch as sometimes the switchs fail, but also the wireing to them can get lose as well. With no power the car dies.

2) Battery... I once saw a loose battey mount that allowed the battery to move on track. The battery moved and touched the windshield frame and caused the car to die. Solved by securing the battery.

1. Ignition switch wiring coming off. I know that one too well

2. Brittle or damaged wiring to the crank position sensors

3. Distributor or rotor damage

4. DME relay failure

5. Coil failure
