For the 944 Cup SW regional championship, the weekend includes 4 sprint races, all of which are 944 Cup regional points races.
Drivers in good standing who have participated in at least haIf the available races in a chapter during a championship season, are eligible for 944 Cup regional championships titles and trophies. Championship titles are available for each 944 Cup class: SP1, 2 and 3.
The 944 Cup series will for the first time hold dual National Championships. 944 Cup Nationals is a one race, head to head competition to determine the National Champions for each of the three 944 Cup classes, SP1,2 and 3, in both the East and West.
The venues for the 944 Cup Nationals East will be in Florida at Daytona International Speedway on October 21-23. The venue for the 944 Cup Nationals West will be in Texas at the Motorsports Ranch on November 12-13.
Each 944 Cup Nationals event will also feature 2 regional points races and the 944 Cup Annual Awards Ceremony.
With a PCA log book, 944's racing in SCCA ITS and NASA 944 Spec and many in NASA GTS are eligible to race in the 944 Cup classes.
