I have a set of cookies on the way... I will try and get a set of 205 RA1's on them for PPIR . If i can make it happen we can pass them around and get ides from different drivers.

Great! Some actual testing and Traqmate data should point us in the right direction. Thanks, Chuck!

There is increasing talk that Toyo is bringing the RA1 back. The Arizona SCCA 944 site has a post that our size is back on the Toyo tire list as of a few days ago.

I have heard from others that they were going to restart the RA1 production for next year because they have no budget to revamp the 888 to solve our issues with it.

If true, we should know officially sometime this fall and our issues go away completely.

Keep the faith and pray for Toyo sanity.

If the 225/50-15's do make it back into production AND NASA allows us to use RA1's in 2010, I would still like to explore the possibility of the switch to the 205/50-15.

#1: They are cheaper
#2: They are more readily available and being the most popular size, no chance of them not being in stock.
#3: We can still enjoy the benefit of buying top spec Miata teams take offs to save even more money.
#4: They should be faster which would allow us to run a little closer to the front.
