As far as the fire system, it just buys some time for you to get out. I t often doesn't put the fire out entirely. Those seconds though, can equate to months on a burn unit...
As far as the cage, we might take that one step further. Is regulating the number of mounting points necessary? If it meets CCR specs, and does not go through the firewall, does the rest really matter in terms of performance? Any incremental increase chassis stiffness is small when you are not tying in the front suspension, and more mounting spots allows us to at to strengthen the cage, tie in the seat mounting, etc.
