I like the first modification the best... ie, just chop off "944spec.org" and call it good.

I could go with either of the options that splits the decal, and keeps a border.

The one with the trimming around the mountains does look a little more distinctive to NASA-RM, but I'm undecided on whether it would look creative and unique-to-our region at multi-region events, or would look more sloppy than creative (i.e. a decal with three 90-degree corners and one jagged corner).

No offense intended to the idea folks, as I think that all of the options are improvements over the original.

I like the split sticker with the 1/2" margin around the mtns. From a design standpoint, it adds a dynamic design element that draws the attention to it and accentuates the rocky mtn region.
