Where did you get the wire screen for your radiator screen? I've been to Lowe's and all they have is a much finer mesh that I'm sure would impede airflow. I will get a couple of close ups for you. I had some spruce 1/2 in ply from hobby lobby. I cut out some pieces in the shape of the pedals, glued two together and shaped them the proper profile to fit, then screwed them to the pedals.

I used galvanized mesh from Ace hardware. They have multiple sizes.
