I went to look for the diagram for the painless system and the link is not active anymore.

I will post it here but if someone can put it into the tech articles that would be great.

Thanks Chuck, this diagram was EXTREMELY helpful when I re-wired my car after ripping out the 27 lb harness/fuse block.
It took a little time to trace the wires and figure out the DME harness but now it's a perfect setup. Very simple, bullet proof and easy to troubleshoot.
Even though I've made some small changes, I keep a hardcopy of this diagram with me at the track.
Some of the other Pro44 guys are catching on......

I guess this is my legacy in 944 racing

I still have my original of this and I have all the schematics for the DME and other parts if anyone ever needs these. I think the next time I develop a race car harness, I might skip relays and use high current waterproof switches to simplify even further.

The other advantage, besides simplicity, is weight savings. That harness has to be at least 50 LBs out of the car.
