TOPIC: Are these pistons worthless/damaged?

Are these pistons worthless/damaged? 12 years, 1 month ago #13739

Cross post from 944 board/rennlist.

Bought a spare set of 88 pistons and they arrived banged up. Seller offered to refund if they were not useable - thoughts?

I would debur them an run them personally as I dont see anywhere in the pics that looks to me like a wear area. If the skirts are clean I would say go for it.

Yeah, mic them out and check the ring lands REALLY well for any damage that would keep the rings from moving freely. Don't be fooled by the different markings on the top of the 88 pistons. Valve pockets go to the exhaust side.
