Two questions for the experts.

#1 - What temps do the fronts and rears typically run at?

#2 - I have seen guys use some lubricant on brake parts when changing pads but never paid enough attention. What are they using, why and on what parts when they replace the brake pads?

Thanks

I don't know the answer to #1.

#2 - I use caliper lubricant on the sliding pins and the surfaces where the two parts of the caliper slide on one another. You can get the lubricant in little packets at any auto parts store or use very high temp anti-seize (Nickle based or other).

Hawk blues are a popular pad all around, so whatever the temp is I would suspect we're not breaking out of the max temp Hawk would recommend for them. Unfortunately this isnt listed on their web site, but you might get them to spill the beans if you call them.
