944 Spec Midwest has another new Cash sponsor!
Ekquist Racing Enterprises is a full service trailer dealer in Rock Falls, Illinois - about 2 hours west of Chicago. Ekquist will be sponsoring a new "longest tow" contingency for each of the Midwest races, and will be doubling this contingency for the National 944 Spec event at Miller Motorsports Park to be held Father's Day weekend in 2008. Ekquist Racing will contribute a total of $500 over the course of the season. The 944 Spec racer towing the greatest distance to each event will receive $50 towards gas, or $100 at the Miller event.
Midwest 944 Spec Director Eric Kuhns purchased an H&H light car hauler from Ekquist two years ago, and has been very pleased with its price, performance, and light weight. Because Ekquist is an established, family-owned, small town busisness with low overhead, they can offer trailers for substantially less than other operations - so support them not only for being a sponsor, but for offering the best value around in trailers! Also, CDOC will be offering a contingency for us, details to follow.

This is in addition to our existing sponsors, below:
Doug & Robin Hillman for VFC Engineering have committed to putting up $400 per weekend for contingecy money at Midwest events next year. This is straight cash, not discounts/certificates/coupons, for Spec class cars. We only need 4 cars next year at any event to make this happen.
VFC will be at each NASA Midwest event this year, and will be 944 Spec Midwest's
Title Sponsor
Doug at VFC will be building at least 4 944 Spec cars over the winter, with 2 of them avialable for rent. He will also assist you in any parts of your own build that you need help in (e.g. custom cage, etc.). VFC is also available for trackside support. Big thanks to Doug & Robin of VFC for their ongoing support of NASA's 944 Spec program.
VFC will be hosting a NASA open house, tentatively scheduled for March 1st, with a guest speaker, lots of information on NASA and the '08 season to be presented. Stay tuned for more details and an official announcement to follow shortly.
Thanks to the hard work of up and coming racer Ray Freundt, and the gernosity of Kraig "Doc" Bryan at Doc's Upholstery in Belvedire, IL Midwest 944 spec has another $400 of contingency money *per weekend* to help get more 944's out racing!. Doc (no relation to me "Sterling Doc"
) has a full service upholstery shop near Rockford, IL that does everything from antique furniture to cars to airplanes. If you want to make your tow vehicle a "shag van" or do something more tasteful, he's your man. "Doc" enjoys an excellent reputation in this area. Please patronize him with your upholstery needs!
