I first registered as spec, then switched to gts1 thinking another car or two might show. After getting to the track and then being the lone gts1 entry, I was invited I join pte by the very friendly run group.
If i got the math right, we are almost 300 lbs overweight, but racing against something other than the clock was too tempting to walk away from!
I'm still shaking the cobwebs from being out of the drivers seat for a couple of years, and I could only get her around at about 1:31.4, but that was good enough to podium both Saturday and Sunday. Thinking it through on the drive home, I think I need a little more toe in on the short tracks and while the set up was pretty well balanced at the end of the weekend, both ends were too soft.
In a month or so, we will be at the new Dominion Raceway near Richmond....another tight, 2 mile track. We shall see how that setup works there.
