I bought a 84 944 on eBay because I wanted the wheels(pick the car up cheap). I went to pick it up and the guy didn't have the key to them! Any tricks to getting them off. They are only on the rear, but they look like this.

Thanks, Randall

I've heard of folks using a socket slightly small than the diameter of the lock...a couple of good whacks with a hammer to seat it, then use a ratchet or break bar...I never tried it though...

I have heard of a socket that is filled with pins that slide out of the way when placed on the lock nut that allow it to grip on whatever is available for turning.
You may also try calling your local tire shop for assistance in such cases but you'd probably have to take the car to them.
