Hi,

I am 6'1" weighing in around 205 lbs. Does anyone have any advice
on a good seat that will be comfortable with hans support and
side head restraints. I would like to spend less than 1K.

Thanks
Sid

A full halo seat is going to be very difficult to fit in a 944 and allow you safe ingress/egress. I tried a Sabelt Taurus and it didn't even fit in the car properly let alone allow me to get in/out quickly.

You can do the Kirkey aluminum road race with head supports for way less than a $1k or just get a good Sparco seat (or equiv) with a net.

It is a 1983 - good or bad for the seat fit?

Thanks

early cars are better for taller drivers . it's easy to remove the 2 bumps in the back that the stock seatr sits on that will give you an extra inch easy.... Also the early cars are lighter so you can make weight .

So with an '83 I would say your good to go

Hence the reason I had a problem getting my seat to fit in my 85.5
