I just noticed the following thread on the NASA forums in the GTS section relating to the re-cert of HNR devices:

www.nasaforums.com/viewtopic.php?f=44&t=54162

Reading down the thread covers both NASA's position as well as the Non HANS devices.

My HANS is FIA certed so it does not apply. Are there any HANS without FIA stickers?

Not familiar with the HANS - my R3 has an SFI sticker. I believe that there must be some HANS out there without an FIA label as they mention the possibility.

Thanks, Jerry. I just printed out the NASA thread so I can remember to check mine tomorrow at the shop.

I sent in my R3 to get a sliding strap and they re-webbed it at the same time. The re-web was $75.

Did you get the flat or cable style sliding tether ? The newer cable style appears to be much better.
