I have a 1983 Porsche 944 that would be the perfect Spec 944 base car-
I literally found this car in a barn, and am in the process of cleaning it up.
What I can tell at this point is that the car has a cracked windshield, and the carpet and seat(s) are no good.
There was a receipt in the glovebox from a local Porsche shop that reflects $973 in engine work, which included:
⢠Disassemble engine front
⢠Replace seals and sleeves for camshaft, balance shafts, and crank shaft.
⢠Install new cam and balance shaft belts, set tensions.
⢠Replace slotted roller for balance belt.
⢠Replace water pump and NAD thermostat.
Additionally, the shop noted:
⢠No output from charging system
⢠Needs vacuum lines at fuel pressure regulator
⢠Brakes frozen
⢠Needs front stabilizer bar
⢠Needs engine mounts
⢠Pan gasket wet at corners
⢠Needs bottom left radiator mount
The car appears to be otherwise solid, and would convert to a Spec 944 very easily.
The car has no title but I am the legal owner. I will provide a complete bill of sale.
The car is located in Orlando, FL.
I will be cleaning it up and posting more information about it as I go. I will formally put it up for sale late this week, but if anyone wants to make an offer or ask questions in the meantime please call me at 407.415.1900.
Thanks
