Does your car still have the heater core, operating headlights, turn signals, blower motor for heater?

Is the registration current and will it pass smog?

Thanks,

Charlie

I see from reading your build report that the heater core and all related stuff was removed.
I have done that job and prefered to not do it again.

Does the towbar come with it?

Hi Charlie,

The car has operating headlights and turn signals. The headlight motor was removed and I have a simple method of bolting them in the up position. The factory headlight switch still operates the on/off for the lights though.

The heater core and all HVAC was deleted and tossed years ago

The registration was current to June 2012 (I registered in Planned Non-Operation at that point, since I now tow the car). I have the stock cat section of the exhaust that can easily be bolted in and the car has passed smog three or four times since I've had it. The numbers should be even better now that the valve guides were replaced.

-Chris

Wow, we posted at exactly the same time.

Yes, the tow bar and magnetic lights do come with, if you'd like

I am racing this weekend at BW so wont likely be able to get to see car before next week.
I am interested and I am a serious buyer.
It is possible I may have one of my local buddies from So-Cal come by and check it out first. It looks to be very clean and well put together.

Charlie,

Very cool. I'm happy to work with you.

I'll be at Chuckwalla with the car on October 22nd, unless the car sells prior to that date (which is fine!). If it's still in my possession, I will also be taking the car to a PCA auto-x event in Irvine on November 4th, which is a great opportunity to see the car in action up close and maybe even ride along.

I'm happy to show the car at my home any other time we can agree on. I don't want to risk impound, so it would have to be a visual inspection, and we could fire the motor up.

The car has been as reliable as anything I've ever owned. It's only let me down at ONE event in the 50+ events I've done, and that was when the stock rubber-centered clutch let go. I'll be bummed to see it go, but my wife will sure be happy I'm getting rid of a car
