SoCal did it again and showed the Nation who has the best drivers in 944Spec!

Marcelo came from last to win the overall, great job Marcelo!

He had an engine failure on Saturday before the 2nd Q race. 7s Only was able to install the back up engine they brought along, got it dynoed Sunday AM and did the hardship laps on Sunday to test it out.

Another great performance!

This is Marcelo's first National Championship, great job buddy!

And just for fun I went into the records and found that SoCal has won 6 of the 10 National Events.

Nationals goes back to Miller next year so we should try to make a god showing if possible. Miller is a great track and top notch facility. Lots of racing room in the corners for door to door action.

Congratulations Marcelo. He was sort of down after the original motor filed. That said he was still confident that if the replacement engine could pass the dyno he had the speed to make it from last to first. Earlier in the weekend he set a track record for 944 Spec at Mid-Ohio

With that many issues, it is extremely hard to even be optimistic.
