Hey guys,

It's been awhile since I've been to Infineon and I've never been on r888's. What are good starting pressures?

Also it dawned on me that we use pure nitrogen at work. Is it legal in spec? I know the advantage is that nitrogen doesn't expand with heat so your pressures stay constant but is it worth the hassle?

With 888's you should start them at 55 lbs for Infineon at a minumum.

As for nitrogen, it is legal to use. Normally, you will still see expansion of 6 lbs hot from your cold temps. Now, I don't know if pure nitrogen doesn't expand with heat but the way I put it into my tires it does. I assume that there is still some amount of air and water vapor left in the tire even with several inflation and bleed cycles. The increase seems to be less than air but it does increase.

I think you got it wrong Big Dog. R888 have a stiffer side wall and can run lower pressures like 15 lbs.

Guess you'll have to experiment on the track tomorrow to find out what works best for you.
