Thunderhill is a hard track for me to get good shots, I'd like to get a telephoto lens to zoom across to the Cyclone area. Last time we were there, we were up in the obervation room watching Derrick drive and my daughter grabbed the camera and took this shot, says she meant to get the back reflection of the checkered floor. I want to try the same trick next time.

Yes, we are very fortunate to have Dave take pictures for us.
That's a clever shot your daughter came up with. Very cool!
Yeah I like to get a telephoto lens also because they only allow the event track photographer to take pictures from the infield and the Turn 5 Cyclone is a long ways from the paddock area.
The pictures Dave took was from my Nikon D80 with a 18-200mm zoom lens and even with full zoom this is the closest he can get.
